In this course we will look at the minimum requirements of Standard Precautions and why they are required plus we will consider where these can fail and the consequences of these failures. We will also cover how to maximise efficiency for infection prevention workflows to minimise the impact for practices from a productivity perspective and financial aspects.
Standard Precautions and all that they involve give us the skills to protect ourselves from infection and the risk that comes with working in a healthcare setting. The purpose of this course is to have learners know and understand what the implications of cross contamination are, how this occurs and the steps to take to prevent infection for themselves and also their team members and patients.
